About Us Kurdistan Geology Society
in days of (27-28/02/1992) in city of Erbil the first Geologist’s general congrees was established and the good news of birth of (Kurdistan Geology Society ) reached the ears of all science seekers and geologsits of Kurdistan . In the years of (1994 and 2000), the second and third congress established. Activities of Geology Society One of the aspects that our Society has been working on, apart of its industrial duties, is its scientific duty. It has been capable to organize numerous conferences and scientific level & introduce the geological changes that have taken place due to time. Supervising mines of (Sand and Gravel, Construction Stone, Marble Stone, Gypsum Clay, …etc.) is encountered in our Society's activities, also determining supervisors for each mine. Supporting the members of the Society.
Organising Several scientifie courses for the members of Geology Society as follows Organizing a scientific course about using
(GPR) in corporation with an Italian institute for inspecting Earth in (2010).
Opening two (Wellside) courses in the vears of (2011 and 2012).
Opening a (GIS) course in (2012).
Opening two courses for English Language and Computer skills in (2012 and 2013).
Printing and publishing the scientific dictionary for Geology Science.
In corporation with University of Sulaimani, College of Science, department of Geology we executed four scientific conferences under the title of GeoKurdistan (I,,III,IV) in the years of (2012,2015,2017,2019) in order.
In corporation with University of Sulaimani, College of Science, department of Geology we executed four scientific conferences under the title of GeoKurdistan (I,,III,IV) in the years of (2012,2015,2017,2019) in order. In corporation with University of Sulaimani, College of Science, department of Geology we could organize a workshop under the title (Earthquake & its effects on Kurdistan in University of Sulaimani at (8/3/2015)
